I have a Windows copy of Acrobat 9 Pro that used to be installed on my old PC. I switched to Mac a couple of years ago but have only just got round to needing Acrobat again - can I use the same copy on my Mac, or if not, can I upgrade or update without having to buy it all over again?

And the upgrade thing: you'd have needed a "crossgrade" something Adobe only manage by phone. But you'd first have to upgrade to the current version. Only, it's too late for upgrade pricing on Acrobat 9. So, still no, but that's the deal. Even the Mac version of Acrobat 9 wouldn't run well on a current Mac, Mac OS changes often.

By the way, subscriptions to Acrobat Pro are strongly advised over permanent licenses.

You don't put diesel in a gasoline car, and you can't install Windows programs on a Mac... unless you wish to install http://www.parallels.com/ "emulator" on your Mac to run Windows programs
