Wingdings showing instead of music cord

When trying to edit in Acrobat I get wingdings instead of the correct symbols.  I have no music knowledge and I am attempting to help someone with this issue.

    If the fonts used in the file are not fully embedded in it then you must install them on your computer to be able to edit them. What you're seeing are not "Wingdings" symbols, but a replacement for symbols that are not available.

    Also, editing a PDF file in this way is not recommended. If you have access to the original file you should do the edits there.
