Question

With all respect, why is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC so awful?

Previous versions were intuitive and easy to use.

This version I try to highlight something and it goes from one character to the whole document.

I want to add text and I can't put a box around it, everything is like a 15' affair.

I can't seem to make it do even the most simple tasks without enormous frustration.

All I want to do is highlight three words, add a little box with some text in it, and it is a disaster.

Yes, I'm probably stupid, and no, I rarely read the directions, but I've never really had to.  Now it seems I'm going to have to take a course just to highlight three words and not an entire block.

Hi stephenj1004236,

I am sorry for taking so long to respond.

As I was able to understand the issue, highlighter tool in Acrobat highlights the whole document instead of few words, as well as there is an issue adding a text box on the pdf, is that correct?

Could you please try highlighting another pdf and see if this behavior continues there as well?

Please confirm the version of Acrobat installed on the computer.

You may refer to this link for the same: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

And the Operating System installed on the machine-Windows/Mac?

Awaiting your response.
