Won't open PDF in Explorer I/O error

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat DC and now PDFs will open on the desktop and in Chrome but when I click on one in Internet Explorer it says I/O error.  I have no idea what to do.,

Hi there,

As mentioned above PDFs will open via Acrobat, Chrome but it doesn't open through IE, so where exactly do you have those PDFs saved? Are you viewing them online  or its saved locally to your computer?

If PDFs aren't opening in Internet Explorer, then make sure you have got required settings enabled. What you need to check, for that you may refer to the help article here: Troubleshoot viewing PDF files on the web

I am using a bank website and when I click on a statement in PDF form it

will open if I am using Chrome but not IE. I am wondering why IE cannot

open it. I rarely use Chrome and prefer IE.
