Word Docs automatically download s pdfs

Installed Adobe Acrobat DC on a new laptop and when I download word docs to my PC they automatically download as pdf's. How do I stop this. If it is a word doc, I want to download it as a word doc.

It is, but there were two download buttons and when I used the other one it was fine. User ignorance I guess:)

It seems like you may need to set the default program that you want MS Word files to pen with.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of what you see on screen before downloading the files?
