Word Footnotes not returning

Word - The footnote indicator in the bodytext does navigate to the Footnote text at the foot of the page, but then does not return to the place in the bodytext.

In Word you double-click the footnote number in the footnote to naviagte back to the bodytext indicator.

Is this usual behaviour?

Can't edit previous post - obviously I mean the footnores in the Word document when PDF'd the return function from footnote to bodytext does not work. In the PDF file.

Update - Not just footnotes but Endnotes also do not return to bodytext location.

I speak to Adobe support directly and the chap there went away to speak to someone else and came back and spoke some technicalise, basically they dont think this was ever a function. It was left that someone was going to call me back to discuss further but no-one ever did.
