Wrong Installation of the latest Acrobat DC (Ausst)

Hello,

we are using Adobe CC and host the downloads via AUSST.

If we install Adobe Acrobat DC (22.002.20191) we'll get the 64-bit Version of the Software and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC will get removed completely.

If we install Adobe Acrobat DC (21.011.20039) we'll get the 32-bit Version of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader DC will stay on the host.

Is there a wrong setting in our AUSST or is this the normal procedure now?

Best regards,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

We have recently enabled 64-bit Acrobat install from Adobe CC app for all users, hence the difference in behavior.

Please note that 64-bit Acrobat and Reader (32 & 64-bit both ) can't coexist so Acrobat install removes Reader DC from the machine.

Please let us know if you are facing any issues using 64-bit Acrobat.

Regards

Ravinder

Hi Ravinder,

thank you for your answer!

We don't have any issues we are just using 32-bit Versions of our other Adobe Products so we didn't know where this came from. There will be no way to get the 32-bit Version back i guess so this is okay.

Best regards,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Thank you for reaching out.

Would like to inform you that there is a single installer for Acrobat Pro DC and Acrobat Reader DC (64-bit only).

So, if you have installed the application and do not have a subscription, it will work as Reader DC. If you have a subscription and Sign in to the application, it will upgrade to Acrobat Pro DC.

Hope that clarifies the confusion.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
