Zeros missing when filling in number combs in forms

Hi, I am having an issue with fillable forms. I have forms that require input of numbers, set up as combs (eg. registration or licence numbers). However, when checking on preview, if I fill in a comb of numbers that include a zero, the form is not recording the zero, but rather moving the following number forward. The field is formatted as 'number' with no decimal points and no separators. I haven't had this problem before. What can I do to resolve this?

Just to add, it appears that the issue occurs particularly if the zero is the leading digit in the comb.

Don't use the format "Number".

Thanks, I've done this as a work-around, as the job was urgent - but ideally would like to limit the respondent's input to digits for certain fields. Seems wrong to have 'number' as an option, but not consider zero as potentially significant.

Is there no other option?
