Question

Zoom button disappears with window reduced

Hello.

When my window is large enough I have a zoom buttonz that looks like a magnifying glass with a plus sign in it.  When I click on it another mini menu pops down with a plus and minus on each end, and a numeric zoom-setting with a down arrow.  When I reduce the Adobe window size the button disappears.  How can I control the zoom level using the mouse in this case?  I don't want to have to use the ctrl + or ctrl - button because I'm too lazy to move my hand to the keyboard from the mouse.

Thank you,

Steve

I assume you are using Acrobat on Windows: When you hold down the control key, you can zoom in and out with the scroll wheel (at least I think that's how it works on Windows, I am on a Mac right now, where it's the Option button instead of Ctrl).

OK thanks, I haven't heard of that one before. I was hoping there is a
way, when the window is reduced, that there is a little button to click on
that opens up the other buttons that are only visible when the window is
larger. That way I can do a totally one-handed operation. Sometimes I
lean to my left and hold my head up with my left hand and do everything
with my right hand on the mouse.

>From reading around a few posted questions on these forums there seem to be
more complex questions than mine.

Thanks.

I am not aware of any way to do this just with the mouse, but you could get a mouse with programmable buttons, and then program one button to be your Ctrl key. This way, you could just use your mouse.
