Yesterday, several of my users with Adobe Acrobat DC Standard and Professional starting receiving a popup error when their PC starts up. I don't know what triggered it nor what the solution is.

Any ideas? It's not a virus issue. We currently run Eset Nod32 Antivirus on our PCs.

ADobeGCClient.exe - System Error

The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Adobe is releasing a patch in the next 24 hours.

The AdobeGCClient.exe program is not correctly checking for bitness, you need the 32bit version of the latest "Visual C++ 2015 update 3" (even if you already have the 64bit version installed).

Found this workaround, it worked for me.  I also found that msvcp140.dll was missing from c:\window\system32 and c:\windows\sysWOW64.   I just copied the files from another PC.

"Resolved it" by renaming the AdobeGCClient.exe in ProgramFiles(x86)\Common

    Files\Adobe\AdobeGCClient  to .old instead.

    Hope this helps.
