Question

An inexpensive laptop for SIMPLE work [Speaker Update]

This is not related to Adobe programs (other than having a few PDF files she views)
.
My wife has an artist area in the back of our garage, where she does embossed copper and various kinds of painting on cards and tiles... she got tired of viewing tutorials in the house and trying to remember the details of what she just watched when she went into the garage (concerning mixing paints)
.
I did a search to find a 'cheap' laptop (she does this mostly as a hobby) and found one that will allow her to view tutorials right next to where she is working... and be able to pause or go back to watch something again while she is measuring & mixing paint
.
At $200 (plus tax/shipping) this works great for her https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLXMBSXC
.
I did attach a wireless mouse from my spare parts box since she REALLY does not like the 'mouse pad' that is part of a laptop... if she decides that she doesn't like the keyboard I will buy an external keyboard that is full size

Sound from the tiny speakers was not great, so I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092MSS1MJ which works well

    ADDED

When I first plugged the speaker in and played an MP3 there was no sound from the speaker

I pulled the 3.5mm connector and plugged it back in (while the song was playing) and a little window popped up asking me what I had just plugged in... I selected the 'headset' option and the speaker worked

I will GUESS that the 3.5mm connector in the laptop needed to be 'active' to detect the presence of 'something' and Win11 then asked what it was
