AYV - New partner questions

I am currently looking to start up a media club at the high school, where I teach media studies, and would like to go down the path of AYV. I worked as a mentor in an AYV partner a while ago and would love to start something up in my school.

I would love to get some advice from people who are currently AYV partners, or who have set up Media Clubs.

Because of other commitments with the school, I am thinking of running it 2 afternoons a week, with term based projects. That means for seniors they would be looking at 3 projects a year, and juniors with 4. I have expertise in Premiere and Photoshop; I am currently teaching myself After Effects and know the basics of Audition and Illustrator. I have access already to video cameras and editing equipment, a green screen and some audio recording equipment.

In particular, I am interested in how people went about advertising and getting interest. Also, has anyone run these types of clubs at a school, but with youth from the community, or other schools involved?

Would appreciate any input.
