Question

Denmark & France Bans Microsoft

DENMARK AND FRANCE 🇩🇰🇫🇷  are actively reducing reliance on Microsoft products in government operations to strengthen digital sovereignty, address security concerns, and comply with GDPR. France is transitioning 2.5 million civil servants away from tools like Microsoft Teams, while Danish municipalities are replacing Windows and Office with open-source alternatives Linux and LibreOffice, aimed at eliminating reliance on US cloud tech.

I wonder if/when other EU nations will follow. And if so, what impact this might have on Adobe?

I guess if it depends on how good the alternative tools are and if its worth it.

I do have LibreOffice. Its pretty good. Some of the free tools for illustration I’ve used in the past were a bit sub par so they can’t compare the usefulness of Adobe Illustrator and other.

If enough people switch to Linux, Adobe might have to re-tool their products for Linux users.
