Download is saving as cdrdownload

I've downloaded a couple of days ago and it was fine but now it will only download with an extension of cdrdownload and I can't play my video

I had to look up cdrdownload, as I had not heard of it.

Lifewire says:

"A CRDOWNLOAD file is a partial download file in Google Chrome.
"You can't usually open or convert one without first renaming the file extension."

It suggests that if the file says "soundfile.mp3.crdownload", remove "crdownload", which may retrieve it.

How is this an Adobe question? It sounds more like an issue with downloads from Chrome?

I appreciate them asking here because it helped me out with our users downloading PDFs and being renamed with the CRDOWNLOAD behind the extension.
