help for a dumb dumb with being hacked

Hacked how?  Be specific.

• Does your operating system have latest security updates?
• Do you use latest anti-virus and anti-spyware software?  When was the last time you scanned your entire system for malware?
• Are you using a secure Firewall?
• Do you have a secure WIFI Network?  My provider (Spectrum) just sent us an equipment upgrade to help block cyberattacks. 
• Do you share computer passwords with friends & family?  DON'T do that.  Change passwords regularly and don't share them.
• Use Strong Passwords and write them down in a safe place.  If you can remember passwords, they're not strong enough.

without a little more explanation on what exactly the problem is nothing specific could be said. But in general it is to check what exactly would be the point where the hacking gets in, if it is really a hacking attack or another more simpler reason, etc. Then look that credentials, Passwords maybe need to be changed and also look for more safer login (2FA, Authenticator App, etc.).
