Question

How do I add a scanner that is connected by a USB

Cannot remove printers that are long gone and cannot use printer/scanner that is attached to my computer. The only solutions are for Windows 10 but nothing works for Windows 11. Used to be able to just plug and play but apparently Adobe is too complicated to do that anymore. Probably better off getting rid of it unless someone will come (for free) to fix it.

This has nothing to do with Adobe.

To add a USB printer or scanner in Windows 11, connect the device to your computer, then go to Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. Click "Add a printer or scanner" and follow the on-screen prompts. If the printer isn't automatically detected, choose "The printer that I want isn't listed" and follow the prompts to manually add it. See link below for more details.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

That is a Microsoft problem, so you need a Microsoft solution
Go to the Search bar at the top of http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/ to find information on adding or removing a printer

what makes you think this is an adobe (as opposed to an os) issue.

and what adobe app do you think is responsible for.

You posted to Using the Community and this is not a bug in the Community forum software. I've moved your post for now from Bugs to Discussions. It doesn't appear to even be a question about Adobe applications.
