Beautiful images. Thanks for sharing them. Never heard about Marion berries. Are they good? And what colour do they become? Are they a type of raspberries?

As for our garden, its in both dirt and pots. Basically our garden is all over the place and we still manage to garden despite our family’s predicament. I’ll just have to share my pics when I can but just too busy to do so currently. We usually grow lots of tomatoes. Some tomato plants grew by them selves in some spider plant pots I had in the basement over the winter. We have since transplanted them into pots over the growing season. We already have some green tomatoes. Had lots of red current berries this year. Perfect for jam making. Lots of beans, peas sunflower plants, cucumbers and gourds still yet to come.

Marion berry is a blackberry without thorns… I think it was developed by an Oregon university (can’t remember which one)

Sounds practical. Those little spines can still be a pain. They are pretty itchy.

I used to love having a garden, but now with spending time on different coast, I can’t maintain them. Here’s my little one in Shell Beach, years ago. I had Avocado, mandarin orange, onions, blackberries, tomatoes, squash, etc.

Years ago, after moving from a city to a rural town, my dad decided to plant a garden for the four of us in the family. Not knowing the yield, he planted 30 feet of summer squash. We didn’t plan on doing any canning.

The neighbors helped us harvest the excess.

Been there; done that! But I still have some herbs, cherry tomatoes, and my favorite - Carmen Sweet Peppers on our deck!

We have tomato plants in a raised plant bed in the front (raised so my wife can get to the plants after breaking her kneecap last year) plus a pair of ‘dwarf’ fruit trees (apple and pear) that are doing well… next to 2 Marion berry bushes that are also bearing fruit… other vegetables come from the grocery store
