My pen tool stopped working [edited for brevity]

hello my pen tool suddenly stopped working propoerly, when i zoom in and click to add an anchor point it place it somewhere else. It started after I pressed the high cap key once

    You're in the non-software-specific, non-support Lounge. Let us know what software you are using and a moderator can move your post to the appropriate, software-specific, support forum. As it is, we don't know if you're talking about Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, or something else. It sounds like it's one of the Creative Cloud programs, but for all I know, it could be a Document Cloud software!
