When did you launch your new web site?

Google takes weeks or months to fully index new sites.  And as you can imagine, everyone wants to be on page 1 results.  But with a zillion websites worldwide, that's just not possible.

See Google's SEO Starter Guide for ways to improve your site's visibility on web searches.

You can help Google notice your new site with the following steps:

    1. Open a Google Webmaster Tools account (it's free).
    2. Create an XML Site Map.  Upload site map to your root server (same place as your index page).
    3. Submit sitemap URL to Google through your Webmaster Tools account.
    4. Sit back and patiently wait for Google to find & index your site.
    5. In the meantime, purchase some keywords Ads from Google.

Please post the name of the program you are using so a Moderator may move this message to the correct program forum

This Cloud forum is not about help with program problems... a program would be Dreamweaver or Muse or ???

John, I don't think this is a product specific question.  It's a general SEO question for which DW & MU are not going to help much.  SEO is half common sense and half black art.

Good point, but I wonder if the person who started this is even using an Adobe program for web site design... doesn't go daddy provide their own web development tools?

How did you set up your hosting? How did you create your website? How long did you wait after launching to try searching? Google doesn't index brand new sites immediately, so you may have to wait a bit. There are all kinds of web sites out there with suggestions about how to improve your SEO (or Search Engine Optimization). You could try reading some of those tips.
