Text turns to garbled shapes

Hi everyone.

I have an issue with the text tool. I write a short sentence and then the text turns into odd shapes.

It has only started recently. I am on CC windows based.

Has anyone experienced this?

      Most likely a corrupted font.   Try a different one.

      Without knowing more about what you're doing & in which software, it's hard to comment further.
