Question

Using an extra M.2 NVMe

My specific motherboard would not use the M.2 NVMe drive with Win11 that I used with Win10 due to the new security requirements in Win11... so I switched to an SSD drive for the Win11 system

I checked Amazon and bought a USB drive housing, so I now have a 500Gig drive for file copies

At Amazon enter B0892BK5L6

    Hi,

you are right. Many people will change Drives or wait till they buy new Hardware that supports the new Drives and the New OS. Also I think there will be good deals for Black Friday, Holiday Season, New Year, etc. so keep your eyes open and have fun.

    regards,Henrik

Great use of an unfortunate change,  NVMe drives are fantastic drives!  Does Windows 11 not allow NVme drives at all?  Or just doesn't allow them to be boot drives?

All I know is that my specific motherboard would use an NVMe drive with Win10 but not Win11

Even after updating the BIOS to be compatible with Win11 it simply would not let me use the NVMe drive

Using an SSD drive works (what I am using right now) but at least I can use the NVMe with a USB enclosure
