Question

Windows 11, worth the upgrade?

Hi all

Apologies if this is in the wrong part of the forum; please move it if so. I just wanted to see what people's experience has been like with Windows 11 and Adobe Apps in 2023. I've been holding off upgrading from Windows 10, but feel like I want to try the Windows 11 experience!

I've searched the Adobe help and forums to see what is and isn't working, but would appreciate any input from anyone who can give their insight. I'm just wary of making the update, running into issues, and then trying to figure out what to do next (I'm self-employed so any downtime is a nightmare). I mostly use Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and InDesign, with a little bit of Dimension and After Effects. Oh, and Bridge of course.

Thanks in advance, and I hope other people find this useful.

Neil

Yes and no! It's not a revolution. I'm still with Windows 10 and will wait until support drops somewhere soon.

>the Windows 11 experience

Lots of Microsoft hype, little change for the average user

I went from Win10 on my computer about 6 months ago, on my wife's computer last month

On my computer, with my brand/model motherboard it was a small PITA to do the change, since the motherboard mounted drive 'stick' I was using refused to work with Win11, so I had to change some BIOS settings and install a new SSD drive to be able to install Win11

My wife's computer, with a different motherboard, did an 'in place' upgrade

Other than a few cosmetic differences, Win11 runs just like Win10 - this is in OUR office, using OUR programs and security settings... YMMV for your computer
