Signature Goes Black when doing Adobe PDF

Someone on my team is having the signature on a document go black when she does Adobe PDF. The signature is fine when she does Microsoft Print to PDF. I assume it has to do with the color processing but I’m not sure. This did not happen until the current newest version. She has been using the same document as a base (signature is on the base document), then using Adobe PDF to flatten, and it has never done this.

I tested it on my computer and the same thing is happening.

Please confirm how the signature was added to the document. If possible, could you provide a sample PDF so we can replicate the behavior for further investigation?

Hello,

I am not sure on how the signature was added as it was a few years ago now. I would assume the signature was flattened onto the source PDF, now creating the base PDF used for all edits. I say this because the signature cannot be selected as its own entity and is part of the document now. If that makes sense.

I unfortunately cannot provide a sample PDF as it is a confidential sample PDF.

Could you please share a screenshot of how the signature currently appears? You can mask the signature if it is visible. This will help us replicate the issue.

Could you please confirm whether the issue occurs with a signature that already exists in the document or with a signature added in Acrobat? Additionally, it would be helpful if you could share the steps you followed so that we can replicate the behaviour on our end. If possible, please provide a short video or a screenshot demonstrating the issue.

Also, let us know the current version numbers of Acrobat and your operating system.

Hello,

This occurs to a signature that already exists in the document. When I open the document in Acrobat, the signature looks fine. The moment I save a copy of it as an Adobe PDF, the signature goes black.

I am using Windows 11 Pro 25H2, Acrobat 2026.001.21563.
