Disabling Propagate Frame 1 in cs6

Is it possible to disable propogate frame 1 permanently in cs6. Everytime I uncheck it, if I undo my edits or erase my frames it copies the first frame elements onto the entire animation causing for me to go through and fix this eachtime.

I'm aware there was a way to diable it in Cs3 but I don't see a way to so it in cs6.

Fixed a typo quickly.

Hello, I don't think that this will give you the answer, but I feel that it is almost a must see if you are doing animations with Photoshop: http://vimeo.com/80851591

Also useful is this panel: http://vimeo.com/82506579

Thanks Pierre-Etienne!

Hey man, I was blown away by that piece of animation you made for CN that featured all the characters from their shows!  We all enjoyed it at our studio in Vancouver.  And now to find out you did it in Photoshop is a double mind job.  Good on ya, bud!

This was a great demo of Photoshop animation, I learned alot.    The AnimDessin2 panel is also amazing.   I will reccomend it to animator folks.  I am actually in the storyboarding side of the animation industry so we are focussing on using Photoshop's Animation Frames rather than its Animation Timeline.  Simplifies it well for us.  But much of this info is useful background, so thanks very much dude.  -good luck with all your amazing work, P-E!

I have actually just found a solution to my specific problem with making new layers that inadvertently affect all frames.  There is a specific function in the "Timeline" panel menu. "New Layers Visible in All Frames" -derp, I snoozed on that one. -ha.  Just needs to be unchecked. It doesnt touch the Propagate Frame 1 box, but still solves my problem.  Hopefully it solves it for AlstonA.

Thanks Adobe for fixing it before it was broke. ha

I don't see anything like that on my machine.  The nearest thing to it I see is. There is an option in the frame animation palette's flyout menu, that if checked. When you add a new layer it will be visible in all frames. When unchecked new layers added are only visible in the current frame.

Propagate frame 1 is located on the layers panel. In order to reach it, you have to open the animation in frame-by-frame view to find it.
