Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 Editing Scanned Document (Strikethrough)

I just purchased adobe acrobat pro 2017 and need to edit scanned documents downloaded from the US Patent and Trademark office.  In particular I need to edit and strikethrough and underline within the text from the scanned document.  I use the OCR to convert the scanned document to allow me to edit the text.  In edit mode on the right side it lists the text formatting such as bold, italics, underline, subscript, and superscript but does not list strikethrough.  I've looked this up and it seems that other versions would provide the strikethrough in the format section.  Did I buy the wrong version or is there a way to strikethrough text in edit mode on a scanned document.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Gary

I don't recall strike-through even being an option... Are you sure you're not referring to the Strike-through commenting tool?

You can use it and then flatten the file to achieve similar results.

Thank you for the quick response.  I am a novice user as I just purchased adobe (I did try to look up strikethrough on the web before asking the question).  I need the ability to strikethrough text when editing a scanned document.  Is Adobe acrobat pro 2017 the wrong tool to do this.  I'm looking for the ability to underline and strikethrough as shown below (line through the center of text).  Pro 2017 allows me to Underline but not strikethrough as far as I can tell unless there is a way to call up this feature.  Would you know what software would I need to do this?  Thank you very much for the help.

Regards,Gary

It's the right tool, but it has its limitations. As I said, you can do it using the commenting tools, which is a better approach, anyway.

Thanks I tried it.  It works!  I will mess around with this.  I will definitely mark answer correct.

Best Regards
