How to clear ALL "Recent" PDF list in Acrobat DC?

How do I clear the "Recent" list of PDFs?

I realize I can delete one PDF at a time but with a list of dozens of files, that's not very practical.

I used to see a "Clear All Recent" button at the bottom of Acrobat DC's Home screen but I cannot find it anymore.

Thanks. A. C.

Hi Si-boneGFX,

The option to "Clear recent" is removed with the version 18.011.20063.

This is an as designed behavior.

However, you can still delete multiple PDFs from the recent list.

When you open the application and go to Home > Recent, you can select multiple files to delete them once.

Select the files from the list and click on "Remove from recent" option provided at the right-hand side of the window.

Would like to inform you that if there is a shared file in the recent list, the option to "remove from recent" will not appear.

In that case, you need to uncheck the shared files from the recent list, then the option will reappear to remove the files from recent.

Hope that answers your query.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi Si-boneGFX,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Thank you for reporting this.

Please provide a few details as asked below:

- Current application version

- OS installed on the machine

- Did you make any changes after which the option disappeared?

- Are you using the application on the work machine or the personal machine?

We will be waiting for your response.

– Current application version:

Architecture: x86_64

Build: 19.10.20064.311007

AGM: 4.30.83

CoolType: 5.14.5

JP2K: 1.2.2.42216

– OS installed on the machine

iMac i7, 40GB RAM; 10.13.6 (17G4015)

– Did you make any changes after which the option disappeared?

I'm not sure how to answer this question. Changes? Where? I usually fix the app to my liking in Preferences but I've looked there and cannot find anything that would –obviously– impact the ability of Acrobat to clear recent files. I'm using the same version of Acrobat in a Mac Book Air (running the same version of High Sierra) and –under a separate subscription– on another iMac running MacOS X 10.14.2. All three instances of Acrobat do not allow me to delete more than one file at a time.
