I have noticed that my accentuated characters in app.response message are not appearing correctly. This for ONLY for when the javascript is at the folder location. I need to change them to \x or \u value so that they could appears correctly on screen?

Is there an online converter where I can paste my text and get a the inserted code for the specials characters? Or a specific variable I need to include in my javascript when inside the folder/app location?

Most likely you did not save with the correct Encoding, something that Acrobat’s editor takes care of. Whatever editor you use, try different encodings.

That was it! I use BBEdit to write my javascript and by default it’s an UTF-8 instead of UTF-16. Thanks!

Hi, is BBedit easy to use? I am in the process of learning Javascripting and I was wondering is a tool like BBEdit can also aid with viewing and editing XML files. I was trying to help another user with an XML document that apparently was saved in MS Word; I tried opening it in MS Notepad, WordPad, and Chrome and Internet Explorer and it looked like scrambled encryption character all over the file. I was not able to see the XML code. I also used jsonformatter free online tool and the same scrambled encryption characters appeared... I couldn't even use the "Format/Beautify" tool. Any feedback is highly appreciated.
