Surface Pen on Acrobat XI

How can I get the Surface Book Pen to draw my signature in the signature box?. I use Acrobat XI and I have used Surface pens before, but for some reason I can't get anything drawn on the box.  Not even my finger works, only the mouse, which is not handy for drawing one's signature.
