I have Acrobat Reader DC. It takes up 962 MB of space. Is there a program that does just as good that I can have installed instead of Acrobat Reader DC? Or, is this what I need on my pc?

Hi There,
Apologies for the late reply, I hope the issue would be fixed by now.
The minimum hard disk space that Acrobat Reader requires is 380 MB. Please refer to the help article in the link: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC system requirements to check the minimum system requirements.

Windows Installer database might be the reason for 962MB of space being utilized as it keeps a complete copy of the installer so that you can repair later. Each update will add a lot more to it. If you get a lot of updates, that will increase the disk size being utilized.
You may try to uninstall and reinstall with one latest update that might fix the issue for you.
I hope this will help, Do let us know with the results.

Amal

You're welcome to use any other PDF viewer out there, but this is the Adobe Forums. It's not very tactful to ask for alternatives to Adobe software here...
Also, I'm not sure how you got to that installation size. My Reader installation is around 350MB (it's not Reader DC, though).
Maybe you have a bunch of update installers still saved?

I'm sorry, I did not mean a different software outside of Adobe. I meant which of the Adobe programs do I need? Which do I not need on my computer? I am out of space and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC takes up 962 MB.
I have: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Adobe Flash Player 32 NPAPI
and Adobe Flash Player 32 PPAPI
I am just super confused about what I need, at minimum, versus what I have.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
