Audition CC MultiTrack Mixdown doesn't save bitrate in MP3 settings

New Here ,
Dec 24, 2017 Dec 24, 2017

When exporting a multitrack mix down of the entire session, I go into the format settings and change the bitrate of the MP3 settings from 192 Kbps to 64 Kbps. The export works fine. However, the next time I use multitrack mixdown during the same session the bitrate has been reset to 192Kbps.

Is this by design or a bug? I really can’t see a reason for it being by design and it always ends up a file that is WAY too big for my use and I have to go through the process again resetting the bitrate to my desired rate.

I have the same issue only the other way, I want to save default at 320 and no matter what I try it always defaults back to 192. Most annoying.

Have you reported it as a bug since it still seems to be the same in the latest build v.11.0.1?

You can use 2017 version while waiting (download link below).

So far, I've found 2018 version has this new change of retaining MP3 default bitrate of 192 Kbps and another one in which when two clips are overlapping and crossfaded, you cannot easily select the clip "underneath" and adjust its length anymore.

Donglaville which version of Audition CC2018 are you using? Some of the bugs that you mention, ie. overlapping clips, have been sorted if you are updated to the latest v. 11.0.2.2.

Thanks ryclark, I didn't know that. Mine is just 11.0.0 but I still need the bitrate bug fixed so I guess I'll wait and check back some time.

Saludos

[SOLUTION]

This is the solution that AlexTama posted in Spanish.

1) Select Waveform

2) Select a section, any, very small is fine.

3) Menu File > Save Selection As

4) Select the desired MP3 format you want and save the selection.

5) Go back to multitrack and proceed normally. Now you can select the desired bitrate and it will work correctly.

Not working for me. By "proceed normally" you mean export - multitrack mixdown - entire session?
