all of the computers are running windows 7  some 32 bit some 64 bit .  The Microsoft c++ libraries have been repaired.   We have six copies of the program and this is only an issue on 2 of them. Here are the event log listings

    got audition open for now,

    1. found an old version of msvcr100.dll online, downloaded.

    2. boot up in safemode alternate shell (you can set it by typing msconfig in the windows start button search)

    3. following the steps found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833#bookmark-use%20the%20system%20file%20checker%20tool‌ under the title "How to manually replace a corrupted system file with a known good copy of the file" to replace the system file.

    4. type msconfig in the command prompt and change the settings to boot back up in normal mode.

I backed up the original msvcr100.dll before i did it, you should too, because this may not work in the long run, but Audion is open now.

Its not a matter of it not being found.  Its there ..

But it may not be the correct version even if it appears to be. The only way to make sure is to follow the advice in Steve's link. A Windows repair doesn't necessarily install the correct version.
