Captivate 8 requests "_cp_n_m_" file?

Hi all,

I've been working in Captivate 8 and I'm encountering a crashing problem. I've published my course as HTML5 (only) SCORM 2004 4th edition.

When I run it from the LMS on iOS 7 (iPad) the tab containing the course crashes.

Looking at the iPad logs I see there are multiple requests to the "_cp_n_m_" file before I get a memory warning and iOS shuts down the tab. Here are the logs:

Does anyone have any information on the "_cp_n_m_" file/request?

Any help is greatly appreciated

1) go to you'r library and check if there are no broken links (with questionmark).

2) try to locate te original file or remove te file from your project.

if you'r file can not be removed go to the (master) slides where it is located and remove them there first.

If this is the case, Captivate will give a warning giving the places were the file is located.

try to save, publish en replace your files online.

this worked for me.

still trying to find the problem.

If you remove the broken file from a masterslide.

Make sure to reset all the slides that use that masterslide.

I think that really fixed it now

I'm having the exact same issue, among TONS of problems, did adding this blank file worked out for you ? here i still 404 it ... even with a fake file added.

on top of that all validation of Q fail with no feedback at all in the console or the screen ...

I wish I could spend a bit of time with the lead dev of this project ... this software is really a monument of programming mistake (have you ever tried to copy something for a non english version to an english ones ? hint : it corrupt your project totally ...)

Yeah i have the same problem.

I'm coming across lost of iPad issues, is there a place where they are listed?

I've notice most of the problems are fixed using hacks. Is Adobe looking into these?

Hi deach5,

Sorry, but I'm not sure if iPad issues are listed anywhere. I'm also not sure if Adobe's looking into the "_cp_n_m_" file problem.

Hi Stimpski,

I did experience same as you. When I learned it from other contributions, and put a file of 0 bytes called _cp_n_m_ in a folder same as index.html., It has worked.

Thank you.
