Hi,

I had a working Creative Cloud installation with Indesign, Photoshop, Bridge, Acrobat, ect. on my PC running with windows 7 Pro 64bit.

After an application update my Creative Cloud installation want work.

I've tryed all tips to install Creative Cloud again. But after 3% installation progress I've got the error code 72.

I've deinstalled all adobe applications, I've run AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool, I've created a new user with admin rights, I've deactivated KASPERSKY, I've tryed to install with admin rights...

...but every time I've got this error message.

Then I've tryed to install Indesign separately with InDesign_Set-Up.exe and got the error code P42

I'm very galled about this, because I have to finish an order to monday!!!

Please help me to find a solution....!!!

Best regards

it sounds like you did most or all of this, but i'm not sure you did it in this order.  so, you should do the following:

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 3 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

if that fails, using a browser that allows popups and cookies,  contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-ccm.html

Thanks for the quick answer.

The uninstalling of each CC App I've done manually with Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. But not all CC Apps I could remove on this way. I've done this then with the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe. and remove All. At the end I've deleted all adobe directories in /users/AppData as well as /program files/common files and clean the registry with the CCleaner tool.

Then I've used the Creative Cloud Uninstaller, but it returned with an error. I think it comes from the manualy deletion. Can you tell me what exactly the Uninstaller delete?

Then I've restarted the computer and tryed to install the cc desktop app with the named error 72.

I've done all this steps in an admin account. Also I created a new one and done the same steps with the same results.

Have you any other ideas?

Best regards

Hi,

I found a solution, the customer support was not helpfull ...

Backup all your files and programs, in case you loose your data.

1. Download the Windows (10) MediacreationTool directly from Microsoft

2.1 Download the ISO and open it (with Windows Explorer / mount it)

2.2 Do an Upgrade (inplace Windows upgrade)

3. Choose to keep your data and programs

4. Try to reinstall the CC.

I hope it works for you:)
