Creative Cloud makes all fonts on Safari and Chrome bold and italic on Macbook

Hello! I've been having issues with regular fonts becoming bold and italic everywhere in Safari and Chrome. I finally discovered it was Adobe Creative Cloud's fault, so I uninstalled, cleaned the computer, ran disk utility and restarted. Everything was fine again. So I reinstalled Adobe Creative Cloud (no programs installed yet) and logged in to the desktop app. Typekit is synced to my computer. The fonts on Chrome and Safari are once again all bold and italic.

Can someone please help? I am a web designer, so I need both Adobe products, Typekit, and working browsers.

I have:

Macbook Pro 2016

Sierra Version 10.12.5

Thanks!

Found it. When I installed Adobe CC, it installed all of the Typekit fonts I already had connected on other computers. Somehow that corrupted the files. I unsynced all fonts, then went through one by one to sync them to my computer. So far, so good.

Thanks kglad. This does, and kind of does not work for me...

Basically, I have to spend $120 just to have a Clean Font Caches in order to fix my computer because Adobe CC, something I spend $60 a month on, breaks. Does Adobe have a solution where I don't have to shell out money for Suitcase Fusion?

Ok so - I clean the font cache with Suitcase Fusion 7, and it's fine. Then I open Photoshop, and all of the fonts turn italic and bold in Chrome and Safari again. Also, it's italic bold in Firefox too.

Does Adobe CC not play well with Sierra Version 10.12.5? Why is this such an issue?

Thanks!

i have sierra and have not seen that problem.  however, you're not the only one with that problem: Troubleshoot fonts in Adobe applications | Mac OS X

I'm getting closer... I disabled all fonts synced to my computer from Typekit. I can now open Photoshop and Illustrator without the fonts switching back to italic bold.

Time to contact Typekit....
