I recently purchased a new laptop and would like to install my registered copy of Photoshop CS6 on the new PC.  I have my license code.  How can I download and install the program?

The answer remains the same.

You don't need your CS5 disc and don't need to re-install CS5 at all. You just need both CS5 and CS6 serial numbers.

  1. Download CS6 from the Adobe website
  2. Install
  3. Enter your CS6 upgrade serial number
  4. Enter your CS5 serial number when prompted to enter the serial number from an earlier qualifying product

Thanks!  Oddly, this wasn't a link or location that I could find simply searching from the main Adobe site for CS6 downloads.  The only locations that came up from the search were for installing via the Creative Cloud (which I do *not* want).  The standalone version seems to be deep, dark Adobe secret!

I found the correct download (I'm using the 64 bit PC version), downloaded the two files (the first is the actual program, in a proprietary compression format; the second is the de-compressing program), ran the Part Two .exe file, which unzipped the Part One file and ran the install program from the folder created on my Desktop. My license keys were at my Adobe Account page.  Everything went smoothly and I now have CS6 installed and working on my laptop PC (my second install; the original remains on my super-fast desktop PC)

Many thanks to all!

-Wes

To clarify: I purchased CS6 as a download upgrade to my copy of CS5 that I purchased on disk.  I still have the CS5 disk and have all the license information via the Adobe website.

The site I posted is the download site for CS6. If you go there and download the two files for Ps CS6 on Windows, they are 7z and exe files, and then double-click the exe file, that should install Ps CS6 on your pc. You can then activate with the upgrade serial number you purchased.
