What is the best program to use for invitations and business cards?

I am looking to design my own invitations and other stuff like business cards... what is the best program to use for that? At work, I use InDesign for client booklets and brochures - but looking for a program that can do a little more for my invitations.

‌InDesign would be the usual choice.

What do you need to do that cannot be done in InDesign?

What is the difference between InDesign and Illustrator? For some reason I thought Illustrator was more for invitations.

You cold use whichever you choose. Each has its benefits.
