problems with installing Flash Pro CS5.5 (Exit Code: 7)

Hi!

I'm having problems with getting Flash Pro CS5.5. I tried various things (uninstalled AdobeAir, used the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner, compatibility mode, safe mode, etc), but nothing works, so I hope someone here can help.

My OS: Windows 8 Pro (x64).

Other Adobe software installed: Photoshop CS6, Flash Player

Thanks, it works now!

The problem was indeed "Error 1327.Invalid Drive: E:\"

Drive E:\ is actually my external hard drive, which I disconnected the night before. After I reconnected the external hard drive, installation went just fine!

I don't know why it has to be plugged in, since installation path is on C:\...probably Windows-related.

Funny, after spending hours with registry, safe-mode and dozens of other stuff, the job took only about 5-10 seconds 😉

I realize this is an old topic but thought I would share my solution now that I have worked through it. In my case also the problem was related to directory path access issues.

My installation was failing due to Error Code 7:

In my a case it was related to in issue with the path to "My Pictures." My Windows 7 machine had previously been part of an Active Directory domain and "My Pictures" continued to point to an inaccessible path on a fileserver. After changing the path to My Pictures though properties I was able to install the applications without issue.
