Hello,
I'm using Illustrator CC, 2015.3.0 release.
Yesterday "Paste in place" would paste an object above everything else in the selected layer.
Today, "Paste in place" seems to paste the object right on-top of itself, sorted in-between other objects in the layer. Seems like a nice function but I used the old one a lot.
I'm now attempting to use "Paste in front" instead, but it's behaving a LOT like "Paste in place". If I have nothing selected, it pastes in front - great! If I forget to deselect objects before pasting it pastes the object UNDER anything on-top of whatever I have selected. I'm attempting to get used to de-selecting but wonder if I'm doing something wrong.
Is there some way to always paste in front of ALL objects in a layer, even if I have something selected? I have "Paste Remembers Layers" turned of in my Layers panel.
Thank you
zarry,
Ctrl/Cmd+C+F+X+F instead of just Ctrl/Cmd+C+F (and similarly).
The Cut and the second Front will convince Illy (job description Adobe Illustrator) that you mean it, and she is always happy to oblige.

Thank you, that will indeed do the trick and isn't too fidgety for the fingers. If "Paste in Front" is behaving as intended I guess it's either that or a custom action.

You are welcome, zarry.
You can also do the opposite, with B instead of F.
