Palatino Linotype Bold is available to use in Photoshop, but it is not available in Illustrator.

How can I access Palatino Linotype Bold using Illustrator? The font is available in Font Book but Illustrator doesn't see it.

Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 - 23.0.1

Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 - 20.0.3

Mac OS 10.14.5

**apologies if this has already been anwereed somewhere.. but I was unable to find this specific instance of a font showing in one program but not the other.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I would request if you can check and share a few more details like:

  • What type of font is that?
  • Sometimes the name of the fonts appears differently in different applications? What happens when you copy-paste the text from Photoshop to Illustrator? Is the font highlighted in pink?
  • Make sure there is no filter applied to the fonts.

If everything is in right place then, please try the steps shared here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-fonts-mac-os-x.html

Let us know if that helps or if you need any further assistance.

Regards,

Srishti

I'm seeing something similar with a font called Graduate.  I can see it in Spark, but not in Adobe Fonts (so can't be added to Photoshop)
