how to convert freehand Mx file to illustrator cs6. I don have the license code?

i have the original macromedia freehand MX but the code I have not maching the code that i was asked for in the illustrator when I need to ope FH file.

how can I get the code?

I dont wont freehand. once my illustrator cs5 read my old freehand files now cs6 don reaa it.

i need one of my old files

I believe this should cover it (with a bit of history, too):

AI CS2 is able to open FH4 - FH9

AI CS3 - CS5/C5.5 are able to open FH7 - FH11

AI CS6 - CC are unable to open FH files, but you can do it if you get the FHImport interface plugin, as well as a copy of the original FHImport plugin.

who can i buy it.

i get it from Abobe website for free. they didn't mention any payment.

The plugin is not free.

You mean you downloaded FreeHand from the Adobe website?

It's not free either.

In case you have bought it some years ago, you are allowed to use the serial number listed here.

Installing FreeHand?

Installing Illustrator?

Opening a FreeHand file is possible in Illustrator CS5.

Or Illustrator CS6 with the plugin from Tensai.co.uk
