Question

Changing one brush settings changes other brushes

I apologize if this has already been answered, if so, I couldn’t find that answer.

I created a brush from scratch, adjusted the settings to my liking, and then I found the settings of other brushes had changed too.

Could someone please tell me what is happening and how to solve this?

Thank you

Hi:

So I created this brush from scratch with these settings:

I exported and saved the brush just in case.

Then I used this other brush:

Made some changes and saved it as another brush with these settings:

Then I used again the first brush, the one I had created froms scratch and it was completely different. Here are now its settings:

And if I import the one I had exported, it has now the wrong settings too!

Could someone explain what is happening?

Thank you.

Hi. Can you be more specific as to which settings seem to change the others? Are the affected brushes others that you created, or ones that come with PS? I'm just curious if one of your settings uses something like a global angle. If you have multiple brushes set to use a global setting, they'll all change to your new global setting.

Some more specifics may help us to trouble-shoot this.
