I am using Photoshop CS6 on a PC with Windows 10.
I download images from my camera using Bridge, it sorts the downloads by date shot. A folder single date’s folder may contain dngs, jpgs and a single mov or mp4 file. By just clicking on the folder that contains a mov or fp4 file I get this error message:
Dynamiclinkmediaserver Debug Event
Dynamiclinkmediaserver has encountered an error
[..\..Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
and BRIDGE FREEZES, even when I hit the Continue button. The only solution is to close Bridge using Task Manager and start over, and stay away from the folder with the video files, or use Explorer to find the offending file and move it elsewhere so I can use Bridge to look at the other files in that date’s download.
This doesn't happen with Photoshop CS4.
This is what a post on the Forum said to correct ths:
I did it and that solved the problem.
BUT THEN:
Problem 2:
BUT THEN I tried to open videos into PSCS6 timeline and got message “Dynamic Media Server is not available.”
So I googled and downloaded “Dynamic Link Media Server Update 1.0.1” from www.Adobe.com and installed it.
This update has caused the previous freeze issue to come back with the same error message as above, both with Bridge and with Photoshop! I'm right back where I started, but the steps that I took to correct it earlier are still in effect and haven't corrected the problem.
HELP, please!!!
