GPU Sniffer: Store found card as default and stop sniffing

Question

I have been experiencing huge slowdowns in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign with my NVIDIA GTX 970 graphics card. It has been suggested, that AMD cards do not cause this problem, so I bought and mounted a AMD Radeon RX 460 on my system.

So now I have these two cards, both work, but what I want to use for Adobe Apps is the AMD. I know that Photoshop only receives a list of OpenGL-capable cards on the system and picks one - the first one, alphabetically - from that list. It does not do any actual chosing. That is what the BIOS / Drivers do.

My problem is, that the GeForce is always first in this list and I can never get the Radeon to be used, unless:

I disable it in Device Manager
Start Illustrator, Photoshop or what have you on the one remaining display
Re-enable the GTX in Device Manager
Never quit the program, unless I want to go through the rigmarole again.

My question is, can I get the GPU-Sniffer (that's what the thing is called) to detect my AMD card and then somehow disable it from re-detecting the other card?

Ok, looks like my previous assumptions were off:

It is NOT an alphabetical list, but merely what cards is driving your main display. The card driving the main display is the one, the CC Apps will use as GPU.

This can be set in Windows Display Settings.
