Hi. If I accidentally prompt Adobe Bridge to install upon trying to open something in Photoshop I'm going to kick a small animal. I don't care about Bridge. I just see it as something that's slow to load and gets in my way. I'm not entirely sure what it is another than a glorified open dialog box. Can you move it down the file menu list a couple notches? Then I won't accidentally click it when I attempt to simply open a file. Thanks.
Ah...an easy one to start my day
You can hide menu items in Photoshop. Edit > Menus... Click the visibility eyeball to take it off the menu.

Thanks for the unexpected solution. I should have b*tched about this months ago.

If you do not use the bridge you can uninstall it. Then the Phoroshop menu and shortcut for Browse in bridge will do nothing.

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately, even when Bridge is not installed, the menu item is still there in Photoshop. So if you click it by accident the Creative Cloud app opens and begins to install Bridge.

That I did not know because I customize Bridge and make good use of it for running batch renames and scripts. So not likely going to ditch it anytime soon.
Anyway as far as Edit > Menu goes, you can save the modifications so you can come back to them if it somehow gets reset to defaults.

To be fair I never gave Bridge an honest run, but based on its feature set it would only clutter my toolbox.

That's why I never go near "right way/wrong way" debates. It all depends on what makes your work go faster.

Thanks gener7. I've accidentally clicked that Bridge option about 5 times this month when opening files and Cloud tried to install it. Once actually succeeding. Grrrrr!
Never crossed my mind to remove it that way
