Glyphs not working properly with 2017

When I access the glyph window, it either gives me a blank letter, or it inserts the wrong one. It started doing this when I updated to 2017 and I cannot revert back to 2016. Here are two pictures where I am selecting two different letters and they come through the same, and NOT like the one I am clicking. Thank you for any help!

I uninstalled the OTF version of the font and installed the TTF version of it, and restarted my photoshop and it worked.

I've an icon font that I'm using. The glyph panel works for me in psCC, but not in illustratorCC. The type tool always defaulted to another typeface, and I could not select the glyph and start typing. However, I was able to type the glyph in photoshop, select the type, and copy and paste it back into illustrator, and that worked. From then, I could just double-click any glyph in the illustrator glyph panel, using the icon font, and that worked.

Thanks for the tip; cumbersome for work flow, but until this issue is corrected a good workaround!

Try going to Character Panel, Options , OpenType, then uncheck any options that would have photoshop default to another glyph than the one you select.

I'm having the same problem. Has there been any resolve?

Not to my knowledge... The latest update claimed to fix issues raised in the 2017 release, but this was apparently not one of those that got fixed.

I am also experiencing this same issue-only in Photoshop. Recent updates have not fixed the issue.

And the problem persists... a fix for the Glyphs Panel was NOT among the bug fixes implemented with the April 2017 update. When is Adobe going to fix this???

I have occasionally succeeded in getting the glyphs menu to stop misbehaving by clearing recent glyphs
(in the Options menu on the glyphs panel)  then closing the panel and reopening it.

Your problem seems more serious, but it's worth a try.

Best of luck!

This appears to be a problem with even professional fonts - the alternate glyphs only show up if the font has opentype features coded in - otherwise the extra glyphs appear there, but come up as the standard glyphs when double clicked. Hopefully Adobe is working on it.

I have found this same problem... I posted another question because I didn't see yours but my situation is exactly the same.

And it is not the font: I have found this problem with several, including premium fonts, that work perfectly in Illustrator and InDesign.

To test it, go to MyFonts.com and "purchase" the Regular version of the font FLORENCE. It is $0.00. Then try to replicate the specimen that has the text "Alles fur die Liebe" Photoshop will not insert the glyph for the alternate letter I in LIEBE.

Have you also noticed that the Glyphs Panel now lists all Stylistic Sets as "Standard Ligatures"?

Glyphs are working for me in CC 2017. Maybe it's the font in particular itself? (I tried looking for that on Typekit but couldn't find it.) Is it doing it with other fonts as well?
