How may I uninstall Photoshop CC 2017? (I don't see it in the programs list)

Hello

First of all, I love Photoshop CC 2017... and I don't want to uninstall it... but in the future, yes, of course. When we have the CC 2018 I will like to uninstall the CC 2017 version, because it takes space from the hard disk.

Okay, I installed Photoshop CC 2017... and the installation process concluded, but when it was going to open... my computer crashed... due a hard disk hybernation process. Almost never happen this, but sometimes, the hard disk hybernate, and sometimes (in rare cases) they get silly and my computer freeze.

In 1 year, I had this problem just 2 times.

However... Photoshop CC 2017 was perfectly installed, I can access to it, I can use it... but... I don't see it listed in the program list from Windows.

I can see it in the start menu, and I can launch it.

I can see it in the list of installed software.

However... if I go to Control Panel... Uninstall Program...

In that place, I cannot see it listed.

Weird.

So what happen if I want to uninstall it in 1 year or in 2 years?

I cannot click on it, and uninstall it from the control panel, because it is simply not listed.

How may I then, uninstall it?

Do we have any kind of removal utility when these problem happens?

I've discovered a method.

For God sake, it couldn't be more silly.

In the start menu, click with the RIGHT BUTTON... of the mouse over the Photoshop CC 2017 icon...

Then, select uinstall.

hover over app with your mouse

click the "cog" that appears then choose the option to uninstall

If Adobe does not change there ways when you install CC 2018 in the future. The cc 2018 installer will default to uninstalling prior version of Photoshop. Adobe started that behavior in CC 2015. You need to use to installer's advance options to change that poor default to keep your working versions of Photoshop installed.

Even if it is not listed... CC 2018... will find CC 2017 and uninstall it?

I ask because technically the program is not listed for uninstall... so I don't know the process that the Adobe Installer do...

If checking the installed programs in Windows asking the operating system? or manually trying to find the folder where it should be installed?

If the installer is asking to Windows, the reply from Windows will be CC 2017 never was installed... so how would the installer remove it?

Just asking... ?

As I understand it from your above post, you are only concerned about the future. If this is so then don't worry because when the new edition comes out (whether 2017.xx or 2018) then the installation file, by default removes all previous programs before installing the new one unless, of course, you decide to keep the old version for some time until you are satisfied that there are no serious bugs that could affect your work-flow.

You can always post back when there is a problem in the future as volunteers and Adobe staff would be around.
