Photoshop CC: Cannot save anywhere but a local drive | Photoshop Family Customer Community
Could not save updated psd file – 'write access not granted'
Vielen herzlichen Dank schonmal,
mit freundlichen Grüßen
Nadine

I don’t think the official policy has been changed recently, below quotes from
Troubleshoot issues with networks, removable media in Photoshop
Adobe Technical Support only supports using Photoshop and Adobe Bridge on a local hard disk. It's difficult to re-create or accurately identify network- and peripheral-configuration problems.
Technical Support strongly recommends working in Photoshop directly on the local hard disk. To prevent data loss, save files to your hard disk first. Then transfer them to the network or removable drive in the Finder or in Windows Explorer. To retrieve files, copy them in the Finder or in Windows Explorer from the network or removable drive to your hard disk. You can then open the files in Photoshop. This workflow avoids problems that occur when network system setups or removable media device drivers are incompatible with the operating system or Photoshop.
So if you work across a network that is up to you and possible ensuing problems are yours, not Adobe’s.
Have you tried »Image Previews: Never Save« as mentioned in one of the threads you posted?
Did your colleague actually disconnect from the server or did she only close all windows of folders you were working in?

Ah thank you, I didn’t find this article!

Yeah, but everything worked just fine before and without any problems at all.
And when after an update whole team-workflows suddenly aren’t possible anymore… sorry, I think the users have at least the right to ask what happened
…
And it also could have been that in the meantime someone already has a solution to offer, right?

My colleague and me are not working together until the end of the month, we will test this wehen we are back at the workstations together.

Yes, she had switched off her computer completely, and was no longer at the server. And we weren’t working on the same files or folders before.

You are right of course, just keep in mind that this is a user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.
For an official response (and that may not happen regardless) you could try posting a Bug Report or Feature Request over on
Photoshop Family Customer Community
Technically the problem cannot be a bug, though, because Adobe already »washed their hands of the matter«.
And not to give you the wrong impression:
I also work across a network and occasionally annoyances do arise for me, too.
And we weren’t working on the same files or folders before.
I vaguely recall that in some old thread/s the possibility was mentioned that indexing or the creation of previews on another station might interfere with the intended functionality but if you were not working on/in the same Folders this does not seem like a probable cause of the issue to me.
