I am trying to drop a 3d file into a PDF using Rich Media.   Upon enableing the content, i get a 3D Parsing Error and the 3D file will never load.   Any fixes?

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the 3D Parsing Error.

Is this a behavior with a particular 3D PDF or with all the 3D PDFs that you try to open? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC?

If you are using Adobe Acrobat DC 2015, please refer to the steps below and see if that works for you.

  1. Close Adobe Acrobat Pro version and rename the following folders:
  • C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\DC to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\DC_OLD
  • If visible, C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\2015 to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\2015_OLD
  1. Re-open the 3D PDF files to view

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Good morning,

I am running Acrobat Pro DC 2020.009.20067.

I am getting this error when creating a new document.

I will attach a video in my next post.
