I have rebooted the computer, so need to re-install the Acrobat Pro 2017. after downloading and installation, when I initiated the Acrobat, it popped up the Acrobat Reader, and asked me to purchase the acrobat reader first, when I input my Acrobat Pro 2017 serial number, it is said it's illegal. it is strange, in the past, it never happed. pls kindly advise why and how to shoot it.

hi, I downloaded from your link, but still not working.i found the version I installed is Acrobat 2017 classic, not Acrobat Pro 2017. but the link shows it's Acrobat Pro 2017. and after installation, the old problems happen again. dead loop comes again. I don't know how to fix it.

Hi lawrences,

The link shared above (to download Acrobat 2017) is definitely correct. Seems in your system, installer of subscription version(Continuous) Acrobat DC and  Acrobat Pro 2017(Classic) are clashing.

You may do the following-

1- Run this cleaner tool and uninstall Acrobat (DC or 2017 whatever you have got installed) Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs .

2- Once your system got cleaned, use this link Download Acrobat 2017  to download Acrobat Pro 2017 for MAC installer. (because this is what shows in your account)

3- Once the installation done, it would ask you to enter the serial number for activation.  Your serial number is registered under your Adobe account. Below are the steps to find it-

  • Access your Adobe ID account, and sign in with your Adobe ID and password.
  • Your Adobe ID is the unique email address you first used when you started your membership, or purchased an Adobe app or service. If you used your social (Facebook or Google) account to create your Adobe ID account, your Adobe ID is the same as the email address associated with your social account. For more information, see Manage your Adobe ID account.
  • In the navigation bar at the top, choose Plans.
  • In the left pane, click Order History.
  • In the Order history screen, click the order number in the ORDER# column.
  • In the Order number screen, click Downloads and Serial Numbers.
  • Your serial number is displayed.

Let us know if it still doesn't work.

Regards,

Akanchha

Did you purchase it directly from Adobe or from a third-party? Did you ever register it with Adobe?

I purchased from their official website, and the software has been registered in their system. and I ever re-installed once, last time, there is no such guidance. but this time, it's quite strange. I am trying to find out how to correct it.
