Acrobat 2020 deactivate

we are still running acrobat 2020 with a perpetual license. It seems a recent update is deactivating all our devices. to make matters worse it seems the only way to reactivate is via re-installing since the activaiton mechanism is in the transform file. 

Part one, is anyone else experiencing this? 

Part two is there an easier way to re-activate anymore? 

I recall there used to be a serialization package, but in my current role I do not have direct access to the adobe portal and am dependant on my license manger who says all she has is the install and the serial number. 

I know Adobe really wants every one on DC and named licenses, but they continue to sell these and say its supported till 2025 so I hope this is not sign of a trend.
